Ubisoft announced today that Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter had record
sales in its first week.

"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter had the best ever
first-week sales peformance for our company and is looking like a major
commercial success," Chairman Yves Guillemot said in the statement.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for Xbox 360 shipped to North American
stores last week and has sold more than 240,000 copies. In Europe,
sales of the game in France, Germany and UK exceeded 120,000 units over
just three days.

Developed and published by Ubisoft, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced
Warfighter is the next installment in the smash-hit squad-based action
franchise.

The game unfolds entirely in Mexico City, where numerous, meticulously
researched and detailed environments will deliver complete immersion
into the future of urban warfare. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced
Warfighter will also include multiplayer and cooperative gameplay with
exciting new elements, continuing the Ghost Recon tradition of setting
the bar for multiplayer action.

perhaps it sold so well because it is the only game released since the
initial onsale date in november that even looks remotely appealing to
most people.....

I would bet oblivion will be sold to 80% of the 360 owning crowd within
the first 2 weeks its out........

COD2 shits all over GR3 single player.
The single play aspect of GR3 bored me to tears where as COD2 kept me on the
edge of my seat the entire time. COD2 made you feel like you were in a war.
But what would I know, I don't even own a 360 *rolls-eyes*
