If you need a tutorial on anything graphic related, and I'll try to make one for you if you can't find one online!
 
Wow, this is a pretty old thread so I'm sure if you are still monitoring this.... I would love to see some decent tutorials for creating tile sets for 2D games that can 'lock' into each other seamlessly. Not specifically for platformers, like tile sets that can be used in a variety of 2D games. Just figured I'd put it out there.....
