I think the slim looks great. Would pick it up in a heartbeat if I had to choose between the two. Will stick with the OG for now though.

I haven't touched my OLED Vita since buying my 2000. 1000 model has the screen, and looks superior in quality. 2000 is lighter, more comfortable and all round better IMO. It's not worth trading though, not enough to really justify the loss of money unless you specifically want the 2000.
My suggestions to people are if you own a 1000 already then keep it, buying a Vita for the first time get a 2000.

Actually for people buying a Vita for the first time I'd personally recommend buying whichever is cheaper, as you can find some extremely good deals for the 1000 if you look around. A lot that come with a memory card and mega pack.

I have both. I miss the OLED screen on the 2000 but its much easier to play for longer times especially as I play a TON on remote play.
The battery upgrade is definitely noticeable, I was playing watchdogs on remote play for about 4 hours and only half of my battery was gone. (full brightness too) the micro usb charging port is more than welcome and allows me to quickly charge it just about everywhere. Its easier to carry due to slimmer profile and weight.
The LCD screen IMO is not bad by any means I just had gotten used to the OLED and its taken some time to adjust. Some users claim to prefer the LCD instead so I guess its subjective.
If sony had put the OLED on the slim I would have just given my 1000 model away.

Ya I did research on it and was not happy with the slim..... Mean the HDMI part yes good! But the look looks cheaper made and does not seem as good made it just seem really off to me? Why they did this really... And can't believe the crap LCD screen they put in I believe that's what they put in? It's not as clear compared to the first model. I Love first model so much! ^_^
