Well, one more manga/anime-inspired game for us, or for the japanese at least. After Sword Art Online, Madoka, Girls und Panzer and so on, we're now getting a gift from FuRyu (developpers of Exstetra) inspired by the how-so-full-of-plot manga To Love-Ru Darkness (sequel to To Love-Ru or Trouble, don't remember).
The genre is, for people who know of this franchise, unsurprisingly labelled as a "ultra-pleasant harem action game". Most likely, given the title, it will be a fighting game full of fan service. AnimeNewsNetwork reports that we will be able to touch the heroines (thanks, touch screen).
It will be released in may next year.
So in the end, given that the devs aren't the best out there AND the material it's coming from, I would NOT expect anything great gameplay-wise. Plus, if you're allergic to otaku-directed games, there's nothing interesting to see here.
That being said, since I read the manga and I like it in a way, depending of how it looks in the end and if the gameplay is not too shabby, I'll buy it. I bought my Vita specifically knowing that the PSP had lots of anime-inspired games, even though most of them were only for diehard fans, so I'm glad they keep going with the trend even now.
