PSVita To Love-Ru Darkness: Battle Ecstasy | Action game by FuRyu

Well, one more manga/anime-inspired game for us, or for the japanese at least.
After Sword Art Online, Madoka, Girls und Panzer and so on, we're now getting a gift from FuRyu (developpers of Exstetra) inspired by the how-so-full-of-plot manga To Love-Ru Darkness (sequel to To Love-Ru or Trouble, don't remember).

The genre is, for people who know of this franchise, unsurprisingly labelled as a "ultra-pleasant harem action game". Most likely, given the title, it will be a fighting game full of fan service. AnimeNewsNetwork reports that we will be able to touch the heroines (thanks, touch screen).

It will be released in may next year.

So in the end, given that the devs aren't the best out there AND the material it's coming from, I would NOT expect anything great gameplay-wise. Plus, if you're allergic to otaku-directed games, there's nothing interesting to see here.

That being said, since I read the manga and I like it in a way, depending of how it looks in the end and if the gameplay is not too shabby, I'll buy it. I bought my Vita specifically knowing that the PSP had lots of anime-inspired games, even though most of them were only for diehard fans, so I'm glad they keep going with the trend even now.

Where's my iDOLM@STER though, damn.

Oh wow, never imagine a game will be made for this series. Borderline hentai at best but one of the most hilarious anime I've watch. I can imagine the gameplay of this will be like Senran Kagura with all those boobs bouncing around lol.

Premise makes me think we might not be able to play as the girls, hopefully this is wrong. Still, the graphics look good. I hope it'll be dynamic enough, looks like it might be a dungeon-crawler / beat'em all. I would've liked a fighting game, but I guess it could've been weird given the franchise. Not that such a thing makes that much more sense but well, haha.

I wish the graphics looked better at least for when the game's rendering one or few models.

After seeing Amazoness on 3DS, I kinda expected better.

Not that bad I guess since this game seems more of a full game (full 3D action) and the budget for this one is probably limited (not making several models for when rendering only few characters).

Lala looks kinda off for me in that shot.

BTW, who's your avatar?

Compared to Amazones, maybe it's not that good, but yes, FurRyu's budget is probably much more limited than Arc's. That said what I see here is enough for me, and since there's still a long time before it gets released, maybe it'll be improved...
(My avatar is Sakura Kyouko from Madoka Magica.)
