PSVita things that would make psvita the perfect system

Some things that would make the psvita the perfect system for me.

1. better web browser. Kind of slow and sometimes it keeps reloading the page nonstop. Anyone else experience this?
2. bigger capacity memory cards
3. better screen load times. It takes awhile for stuff to load when I activate messages app or browse store etc
- better psn server. I get disconnected kind of frequently
4. super cheap 3g subscription option or free. I think that feature doesn't have much to offer but it would be cool if it was really cheap or free and you can bring your vita around when you go places and it beeps or something when another vita is nearby
- I guess more incentive to have 3g and bring it everywhere. It would be cool if there was a collecting or stat thing that tracks how many vitas you found on your travels or something.

Overall I really love the vita system. In general, I think playstation has always been good with keeping in mind to make the device actually look like something cool to use. I really like the design of it.

I am a pretty casual vita user. Just play games, chat, and browse the internet with the vita browser about other games and stuff. But often times I have to pick either the iPad or vita to take with me and if vita had a reliable browser then it could be the perfect device !

What are some stuff you guys think would improve the vita experience for you?

#2 is the only one I can identify with. I bought a Wifi First Edition Bundle because I knew 3G was too slow to play games over. I dont use the web browser or anything like that, its all irrelevant to me in a gaming handheld.

Other than two, I'd say give me games from North America or Europe. I'm well known for being a Western games fan, and Vita offers next to nothing for me. I dislike the majority of Japanese games, and believe me I've tried everything from Gravity Rush to Ragnarok to Soul Sacrifice. I prefer the Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, Resistance, Modnation Racer, LBP, Killzone spin offs over the obscure Japanese games.

Ya it is all 4g these days but if it was like $10 for a year of 3g , I may get it. But even then, there really isn't anything unique vita offers over 3g that you can't do on a smartphone.

True about the irrelevance of web on gaming system. Like my iPad gets really distractive sometimes since it can do everything. I think most the time , less is more.

Funny you say the last part cause I have been playing hundreds of xbox 360 games and they are very western. I hardly even played one japanese game yet and I just got Soul Sacrifice and it is so incredible !!! I also saw a bunch of other games Playstation has to offer and ya they really do have a ton of japanese games. So I guess that is why I am really into vita now. Feels very new ! Xbox has some but they are usually never advertised, they are really western sided.

Did you try Persona 4 Golden? If so, did you like it?

And honestly. I don't think Japanese games are bad, some of them are good. It just depends on what you choose, there's crap games and there's good games. But japanese games are mostly known for being silly and that kind of stuff. So I get your point. And also when Persona 4 Golden released for PSVita, it did boost the Vita sales a lot. Basically, the Vita needs more quality ports and exclusives.

I played Persona and I enjoyed it mainly due to the characters. I think the writing it in was very well done. Every character was likable, charming, and funny. I actually cared about them. Persona is the reason I say "the majority." There are games from Japan I enjoy, like Persona, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy (Ends at X and X2), Ace Attorney, 999 / Virtue's Last Reward, and Shin Megami.

Well I can relate to number 1. I hate the browser when it just reloads over and over again. But mostly I'm with panda. More western games would be great. I like some Japanese games but there's a lot that don't. Persona 4 golden is probably the best game I've ever played. Its up there with TLoU in my book.

Sony definately needs to sort out the memory card business.

More Vita-only-exclusives would be huge too, the kind of quality that Gravity Rush, Tearaway and Killzone has along with some REAL BLOODY ADVERTISING WITH PLENTY OF NOISE. It's all well and good making these great games but if bugger all people know about it they are not going to sell. Sony needs to be proud of the Vita as it's a bloody good console, not shying from the name of it (Vita-TV rename ffs) and dropping this "it's a portable memory card with a screen" attitude.

If they've got to port over others I'd love something which has real sense of scale; that's one of the reasons why I'm enjoying Borderlands 2 so much (game is huge for a portable console). I couldn't imagine Skyrim being converted over, perhaps something older however like Oblivion or Fallout 3 however could potentially run great on the system (Vita pip-boy hoooo). Hell I'd love to see Diablo 2 + Lords of Destruction on the machine too. Blizz did a fairly competant port of D3 to the PS3, D2 is alot smaller in memory size and still preferred and played to death by thousands even now. Having a portable rehash of that exclusive to Vita would be incredible and really bolster the need for hardcore gamers to get one.

Another mainstream variation is to see if you get an established set of games (ie Bioshock, Infamous, COD etc) and make a Vita only exclusive version of it and do it properly (COD Declassified should remain classified however lol). Everyone should be hoping for a title like Infamous Vita to appear which if done right and different enough from other titles would be an absolute eye-opener for the West.

NB: I know most of this is me dreaming of a better world for all of us, business wise implementing these would cost Sony a lot of time and money but a man can dream.

Vita needs only one thing to bridge the gap between Mobile & Console...."Google Play"...they add that and it will sell period...the idea that I could purchase a game on my mobile phone and play the same game on my Vita would move units

I've got a Sony Experia Z1 and my Sony Mobile gaming account ties into my PSN account; the 10 game Z1 free bundle works on the Vita too :)

EDIT: I do agree with the Google Play idea though, that would be something :D

About #1. The browser needs to be improved, I agree. When the page is reloading it is becuase you are running other apps in the background, like a game. Close the game and restart the browser to fix.

How about a u m d disk player
Umd disk was never a smart idea. Moving parts on a hand-held is no no.
It would be nice if they released a tool so you could connect the disk to pc+content manager and then bind the game to your psn account and transfer it to your vita.

Wasn't there a way to do this through the PS3? Fairly sure I heard about this once, maybe Google is our friend.

There is no such thing as a perfect system, however there are many things that require tweaking in order for Vita to become a better system.
*Kill PS Tv, add HDMI to Vita and then fill the app store with music/video apps that can be streamed on telly
*a much better browser, there are times when this one is a joke, it's faster and less annoying to pick up my phone and search for a wiki
*back panel should be diched, L2/R2 is a must
*next-gen music player, the existing one is very limited in so many ways

Three words: PC games streaming :p

Sure ps tv is a wrong move. I think it will be a failure. the problem of the ps vita is not the price Sony. it is those damn memory cards that you try to push in our mouth and it hurts.

Bigger Memory Cards
2 memory card slots
Custom home menu music
l2/r2
more vita exclusive games that aren't obscure
steam
have multiple psn profiles
