PSVita The Way E3 Treated Vita

So the pre-E3 events have all taken place and finished.

It was really sad seeing how Sony treated the Vita with a mere 3 min showcasing what little they intended to show about the Vita. Drumming up ALL that interest. Creating all that hype on social media and this is it?

Its like the Vita is only a mere accessory to the PS4, a peripheral and nothing more.

Noone is even bringing Vita games over from Japan either. Nothing was ever mentioned. Everything portable is about the 3DS 3DS 3DS. 3DS this 3DS that. Come the F*** on man!

"Amazing" big title. "Unannounced" projects. All good but where are they?

Cool we have 85 games to look forward to. But we own Vitas, not Android or iOS phones. We like indie games. But we like Vita games better. We support indie developers by buying their games. We'd like to be supported too by being able to play truly unique Vita games too.

2 years man. 2 years and this is what we get? REALLY? F2P shovelware? God of War HD rehash? Wow Sony WTF are you doing? Why won't you make a brand new GOW game? Cuz it aint profitable right?
Vita is nearing its 2nd birthday and Vita owners deserve BETTER.

Well to be fair, you can expect more vita announcements and trailers from xseed, aksys, atlus, arcsys, and i think nisa. i forget who else. but another niche localization company. So it's all good. and you can't really expect a new japanese title at e3. square enix games excluded, the most you can look forward to is localizations

We might even get some from square enix. well there is ffx hd but maybe something else.

, theyre saying tomorow were getting the reveals and the "amazing game" tomorow but if it was sooo amazing why not show it at this masive worldwide 2 hour long event? enough is enough

They had to prioritize. ALTHOUGH, i would have preferred having them talk about the vita instead of sony pictures. but maybe that wasn't enough time.

besides, the most anticipated vita games already announced are niche games. so until the appropriate company reveals their games at e3, they can't really show them off. then again, having your games shown during sony's press conference would have been worth the one day spoiler.

If you were a company releasing a new piece of hardware against a rival at an expo, would you really push a separate piece of hardware?

Vita will get its share of E3 time, but its OBVIOUSLY gonna be dominated by PS4 and Xbox One. Saying your gonna trade in your Vita because of anything that happens at E3 is so stupid i almost wish it upon you - Soul Sacrifice style.

-xseed(marvelous usa), has already announced valhalla knights 3 and ys celceta for a fall release and plan on showing them at e3. they also plan on releasing the ragnarok odyssey game extended version. official name eludes me. i couldn't find the page while googling it but you can read about it on their fb page.

-arcsys set up an americanheadquarters and are bringing in blazblue and another vita game. most likely guilty gear

-square enix has already revealed that ffx hd will also be released on the vita. check youtube trailer. Check up on their press conference tomorrow to see if they have more vita announcements.
-nisAmerica hasn't really announced anything post e3 for the vita though. they have however released generations of chaos which is compatible with the vita a month ago. They'll be at e3 this year so don't give up on them yet.
-atlus. theyre releasing dragons crown for the vita and ps3. i'm not sure if theyll be at e3. i think that covers all the publishers i mentioned except the one that i couldnt remember on the original post.

oh yea. aksys plans on making 2 surprise localizations at e3. i'm personally hoping for f/e CCC and agarest marriage. exstetra wouldn't be bad either . They may not be playable on the vita, with the exception of CCC, but nothing is set in stone and they may localize a vita game.

lol E3 is 3 days not just a day, last night was the birth of the best console in the 8th generation so why expect them to give the Vita their 50% of attention? As Shahid said, they will show new games for the Vita this E3 at the right time, if one of those games are not what you highly expect then you should blame yourselves for having high expectations.

Relax guys this is how its works. There has to be attention to the new product, thats how they make money. The Vita has a ton of games coming you will see, today we will hear about some vita game right into tomorrow.

Look, I am not a fanboy of anyone. I want a portable system that is powerful just like the Vita and is dedicated to releasing games. The Vita is an incredible portable system. It is a great system. However, it isn't getting the support it deserves. And honestly, yes, Sony does not care much about the system, obviously. It seems even they have given up on it.

I have said it before, and I will say it again - Microsoft should step in and try out a portable device. Yes, we all hate the way they announced the Xbox One. Still, they have done some great things and could create a portable machine as powerful as the Vita. Gears of War and Halo on a portable machine. I know it will never happen, but I don't want to see portable systems die. Because none of them are doing THAT great, except mobile devices and tablets. At least if they ARE going to die, I want these companies to put up a fight. Sony obviously isn't doing that, because just as I figured they are basically using the Vita as a Wii U remote. They need to show they care, and have a conference dedicated to the Vita. If they don't, they're going to start losing customers. And as badly as the Vita has sold, they don't have many.

Last night it was a huge moment for Sony, if they would have fucked up trust me you would have actually learned how it's really like to own a Vita with no games.
Sony could not afford to have a second console having a slow start PS4/Vita??? Well no income = dead.
E3 is a huge event witch takes place for 3 days so A LOT can happen...

If we were at the end of the conference without having received any further Vita announcements then I would completely agree with all the negative reactions here.

BUT, the thing is that the conference has only just started! There is still plenty of time to hear about new Vita stuff. We really should at least give them a chance before jumping to conclusions.

The entire future of the Playstation brand hangs on the PS4 succeeding and for the first time ever they are launching a new gen console at the same time as their main rivals. The stakes couldnt be higher and the competition more intense. Anyone expecting Sony to divert anything more then a few minutes of their biggest media slot away from the PS4 at a time like this was being naive..sorry!

I am really disappointed how Sony left out Vita. They had their chance to improve it. But they only announced a few ports and that's it. I don't think there's a future for Vita anymore.

Good job Sony for hyping up the Vita in the weeks leading up to E3 (looking at you Shahid Kamal Ahmad) and f*cking showing nothing at the press conference. No price drop, bigger/cheaper memory cards, games, etc. Nothing. What, you can't dedicate 10-15 minutes for YOUR handheld device at your major E3 press conference?

As others said in here... E3 is 3 days. It's been stated and sourced by others that Vita is getting more game announcements in the coming days. I was also disappointed at the conference, but that doesn't mean it's completely over for Vita altogether. You should probably wait until E3 is over to say that the Vita is finished, if they haven't shown anything by then. Even then though, there is the rest of the year to showcase anything they want.

Seems like those who are saying they are going to sell their Vita's now, were gonna do it anyway since it was on your mind. Just my opinion though.
