I hope people enjoy the game, though personally I didn't buy the Vita to play games like this. I can find a dozen similar games that I can play on my iPhone, iPad, TouchPad, Kindle, etc. I want dual-stick Vitawesomeness.

This is out now in EU, I got it and it's rather fun and cutesy, but I can't see it holding my attention long term. It's a bit akin to ToM but shallower. Anyone else got this?

Not bad but certainly not the best casual game I've played.

To be honest I think Vita should have a mix of games. Having more Minis isn't necessarily a bad thing for the Vita.

Look at it this way, in order to appeal to a wider gamer demographic, resulting in more Vita's sold, so that there will even BE a Vita for games that better suits your tastes to be made for, well games like Sunflower will have to be made for it.

Has there ever been a system where EVERY SINGLE game released appealed to you? Unless there were only 1 or 2 games ever released for it, It's highly doubtful. For me personally, I think the game looks pretty fun. Make no mistake I love games that are on the cutting edge of graphics and gameplay. And you can kill stuff and shoot stuff and make things blow up real good. However games like Sunflowers appeal to me as well.

Sometimes I'm not in the mood for a more in depth game. If I'm tired I'd much rather give something a quick 5 mins of play before I go sleep. Games like this are perfect for just that. Like others have said, it's good to have a mix of genres.
