WHO STILL OWNS A PS3?​

Well, as if the World of Sony could really take another hit--but Sony announced earlier this week that they are cancelling their SONY ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT service.

If you play Online games such as EverQuest, Free Realms, and DC Universe Online--then you're out of luck.

Sony is continuing to investigate the problems to the PlayStation Network, as a result of it being hacked--and now Sony feels it's best they drop the SOE while the investigation continues.
Most likely as a precaution, so they're not having to focus on any other possible hackings.

An Exec from Sony was quoted as saying:

We have had to take the SOE service down temporarily. In the course of our investigation into the intrusion of our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately. We will provide an update later today(Monday).

Exactly WHEN the SOE and PSN services will be back, is unclear.

Wow, sucks to be in that boat... a huge chunk of the value to 3 games just is dropped like that.
