I recently restarted playing Sim City 4, as I had some nostalgia memories come up. Decided just to go with it and get the Deluxe Edition and download the digital copy, instead of spending forever to manually insert the discs for Sim City 4 and Sim City 4: Rush Hour.
What I did not expect, due to me not reading the digital copy that combines both games into one with the occasional update, was that I needed more ram to run the deluxe edition, than the CD copies. If I overload the game with tons of stuff at the same time, it tends to crash if I hit the 3x speed button. Apparently for the deluxe edition to work without issues, it requires 256 GB of ram to run smoothly and on the high settings.
Ended up lowering the quality of the game play to get it to run smoothly, but it still has issues with doing too much all at once.
