PSVita PS Vita System Software Update (v2.00)

So does this mean there is support for new video formats or is it still just MP4's just now in full 1080p

Awwww yeah! Finally Email! :D
This might actually replace my smartphone at some point.
Just setup googlevoice and then be able to text through emails.
Skype for calls
and the rest for fun.
HELL YES!

I wonder if we'll be able to put HD videos from the PSN store on the Vita now that it supports 1080p (but most videos in the store are 720p, and the Vita already supported 720p). That's something that has bothered me for a while. PSN videos run below the Vita's resolution and look decent as the Vita has fairly good upscaling, but don't look nearly as good as videos at or above the Vita's resolution. It's kind of sad- Netflix and YouTube have higher quality videos than Sony offers for the Vita, and they're streaming services.
i know huh? i hate buying a movie and downloading the sd version just for the vita.
I hope the browser app gets improved alot, its currently too slow and is actually alot quicker for me to pick up an iPad or phone.

I also hope that we can access the browser when we are playing games (or atleast PSP/PSone games). Sometimes I do like to check gamefaqs just so I don't miss anything.

Flash support would also be great.
Until thursday when i get my phone, the vita is all i have. Its horrible traversing these forums on the vita.

I have a question about purchasing movies from the PSN Store. If I buy it, I only have it until I delete it from the system, right? There is no way to redownload purchased movies like there is game that you deleted, is that true? Because with iOS, once you buy movie, it's yours and you can download it to your ipad, iPhone, etc. even if you need the memory space so you delete it, you can always redownload it for free. Is this the case with PSN?

That is correct. Once you "purchase" a movie from PSN and download it. It will disappear off your download list, this was designed to stop movie sharing (like game sharing) However, you can keep it in several ways, if you need to make space on your Vita, make a back up on your PC / PS3. If you need to make space on your PS3, back up the movie on a Portable Hard Drive (USB). High light movie, press Triangle and copy to HDD!
Note: Using the External HDD will allow you to play the movie from the External HDD, BUT only under the console that is registered to play videos.

Also forgot to mention, you can transfer the movies from PS3 to Vita (and vice versa) and watch it on the go, then transfer it back when done.

Am I the only one who would LOVE to see the remaining charge % (even if it is approximate) next to the battery icon? I hope it will be implemented in a future software update.

Still a major update. (y)

Such a simple feature but it sure as hell helps.
I'm tired of going to settings and checking the status.

Wireless content manager is probably the most exciting update for me! I hate dealing with cords and this will streamline the process. Woo hoo!
