Here's my current desktop:

To take your own desktop pic:
1.)Look for the key PrintScrn on your keyboard and press it.
2.)Open your favorite graphics editor and go to Edit Paste.
3.)Save the picture as a jpeg and upload it to an image host of your choice. www.photobucket.com is a good host.
