I actually I pre-reserved my copy of the collectors edition @ Gamestop & picked it up about afew hours ago. I've been playing on it straight since I got it. xp
The wiimotion controls are really well done. It takes some time to get used to using the sword but once you do it's really neat. Also when Link finally is able to get control of flying the bird it reminds me a lot of when I was controlling the flying bird pokemon in the game Pokepark. The controls are about the same seeing as you have to move the wiimotion plus from side to side in order to move the bird from left to right. But (unlike in Pokepark) when your controlling the bird & you want to get it higher in the sky you have to jiggle the wiimote up & down.
Also in this installment Link has a stamina bar. It's kind of neat, but be careful not to run it out.. He needs to rest for a bit in order to get him moving again, still it's nice to see this included.
Something else is when you save you have to save at a bird stature, not at the map location like with past Zelda games..
I've fought a few monsters thus far..
Also when you first start the game & you have to collaborate the wiimotion plus with the game by laying it buttons down on a flat surface, once done the game then prompts you to point the wiimotion plus at the middle of the screen & hit A. It's not so bad, but if you leave & come back with the screen saying it's lost sync with the Wiimotion plus you have to sync it again. Idk I think maybe this could have been avoided, but maybe I'm dreaming that.
Still I've now played about 3 hours (or so) straight on this title & apparently Skyloft is a different place at night. I'm at the point where I can either decide to stick around & check out Skyloft during the night time hours.. Or dive down through the (taint) clouds & check out the land bellow..
Oh yea.. So you know in Baiten Kaitos the hero's had to go through the taint clouds in order to get down to the land; where as with Skyward Sword: how Link can get to the land bellow is a tad different.
I'll post more of my thoughts on this game as I play through it. ;3

I've so far fought a bunch of keese & a few slime's. I don't really remember there being slime's that are blue in prior zelda's but now there are.
