Halo 3 Beta. Any way to configure the controls?

[Penguin Commandos for Gore.]

I am getting frustrated. I wanted pushing up to cause aiming to go
down and visa versa. Any way to configure the controls?

I haven't played it yet, but after downloading it last night, I saw a menu
option to change the controller (specifically, to invert the Y-axis). I did
this right after changing my character's color and creating a logo and
before trying to connect to any server. IIRC, I had to use the triggers to
change between submenus at one point. If I were near the game right now I'd
look it up, but I wanted to let you know that there is such an option.

Okay, from the main menu press START to enter your profile. Press right on
the D-pad (not trigger) to change from the Headquarters submenu to the
Settings submenu. From there you can customize the controls.

Mine was like that automatically cos I have it set to invert by default in
the xbox setup

Highlight your gamercard and hit the "a" button, go to "game defaults" and
pick how you want the default to be (inverted or not inverted).

If you can't do it in the Beta itself then try altering your Gamertag
profile on your machine. This is what the Beta uses to determine
whether you want standard (no) or inverted y-axis (yes, this is what
you describe).

When you are in any menu hit start, it will bring up the options and
then you can change control options (incl. the one to invert the Y
axis)
