Do you think the PC version will feature mods?

Or rather, do you think the developer will support mods (releasing a developer kit, kinda like Skyrim)? Mods certainly extend a game's life so I think they should.

Seeing as it's a multiplayer game I wouldn't be so sure about it. It's still possible and it could always increase the replay value of the game so I wouldn't mind seeing one.

I very much doubt that this will be in the game. As crimson said, this is a multiplayer game and as mods give an unfair advantage to its users it's implementation can have no good use for the game.

I'm sure people will make some mods themselves, but I also see it as being frowned on by the community.

Steam will probably give the game a "steam-workshop" spot, if the game is popular enough on that platform. I mean, they should - they've given less popular games this feature. Though, as such a high-end game - it looks like it might be hard to modify it.

Though it's totaly up to the game developers, if they choose to make the game mod friendly.

Yea, going over it over in my head, the game will most likely be too "delicate" to even attempt to try to introduce mods. I also kinda forgot that it's an all multiplayer game, with no offline mode. So I guess it's safe to say we can cross this idea off the list.

Battlefield 2, and Arma series says hello.
Even GTA IV says so.

You should see the amount of stuff they're doing in multiplayer servers. It's pretty amazing. They can create whole mansions and race courses in it among other stuff.

Great answer. As long as the game has a large group of dedicated players anything is possible. BF2 was definitely NOT an easy game to mod yet there were still some amazing things done with it and some of the mods were so popular they even spawned an independent game. And while the game is quite old, some of the mods are still being developed and still have a constant player base.

The examples you gave are gameplay mods. In Titanfall, mods would be probably making the mechs extremely powerful or giving them some ridiculous attachment. This will make the game unbalanced. You don't see mods in CS, do you?

I was talking about custom maps here. They do allow us to create our own maps and set our own rules.

That's what I am trying to say. Mods are possible in every game - even if it's a MMO. They increase the lifetime of a game. Just look at what Dayz has done for Arma 2. It's still selling like hot cakes on Steam.

Last time I saw that on a official matchmaking server?
Are you one of those people who always need to come up with ridiculous excuses to win an argument?

Obviously mods aren't being run on OFFICIAL servers. Even a child would understand this since they are UNOFFICIAL add-ons to the game, made by people OTHER than the game developers. Jesus Christ.

Okay, so have you ever seen mods being run on any competitive server? Even the community ones. Find any AltPUG/ESEA server with gameplay mods.

Sometimes you come off like a complete troll. Yes, I have seen them run on competitive servers. Do you even play PC games or not?

Have you ever installed Garry's mod?
