One very important bit of information to keep in mind is: Hot fixes are happening daily and don***8217;t necessarily need you to download something. Bugs and glitches can befixed without you being aware of it.

Hot fix to take care of the bug which allows people to go under the map on Outpost.
Hot fix for the bug which allows people to call in an unlimited amount of Stealth Bombers. Anyone caught abusing this bug will be banned by the way.

UPDATE 11/12/11
Activision has released a patch for the PlayStation 3 and XBOX360 console versions of Modern Warfare 3. It***8217;s a 4MB patch that addresses the matchmaking issues for COD : MW3.

On the PlayStation 3, Out of Memory ; errors have been resolved. On the XBOX360, improvements were made on matchmaking and SD video upload issues have been addressed.

This patch does not address the several glitches that have been discovered along with issues involving cross country matchmaking.

Official word of what specifically has been fixed is still being waited on but according to multiple Call of Duty officials on twitter we know this patch was released to address all connection / network related problems and all the rank / stat problems that users have been facing since the game was first released.
