I spent the last 2 months quietly acquiring SwitchForum.com and related domains. I chose these domains over the domains with "Nintendo" in them, because Nintendo is a very litigious company. In the past year, they've done nothing, but sending cease and detest letters to fan-inspired projects - anything from remasters, to remakes, to fan creations. They've done it all. In fact, they hate Nintendo communities. You almost never see a Nintendo fan site with "Nintendo" in it, and even if you do get away with it, it will just come back to bite you. I usually buy websites that are short, "going around the bushes" kind of method. With Nintendo. I have seen Nintendo sites thrive in the past and stay alive for 10 years, but the majority of the Nintendo sites are not high quality, or else Nintendo just comes after you. Most of the original Nintendo sites are gone, the ones that stay are shortened domains that don't broach the Nintendo trademark. So, I spent a lot of money to acquire not just SwitchForum.com, but also the like-minded domains. The previous owner bought all "like-minded" domains to prevent the competition from making "like domains" similar to the main domain which you now see.
