My wife and I are thrifty shoppers we are always looking for a good deal. And today was no exception, we did dinner and a movie for $8 total, right here in the USA! We had dinner for $5 at Sam's Club ($2.50 each for pizza and a pop.) And we went to the dollar show for $3 ($1.50 each to see Captain Underpants.) And we had a great time together tonight. Are you a thrifty shopper and do you look for good deals?

My expenditure depend on my income. I don't have a fixed income and my earnings vary every month. When my funds get limited then I validate each and every expense and start spending every penny like a miser.

But during the months when I'm blessed with good income I never think even once before buying any stuff. If I need it, I buy it. It becomes as simple as this.

I am definitely like you @Soulwatcher. I always spend my money wisely and carefully. We have a saying that goes like this ''Money doesn't grow on trees'' and I try to follow it. Sure, I have some spare money but does that mean that I should just splash it all? No. I try my best to find great deals and discounts. Even outside the gaming world, I always use things like coupons when shopping and so on. I just find it more satisfying knowing that I have managed to save my hard earned money by using the available offers.

Also, wow, $8 for a movie and dinner? that sounds like some incredible deal you managed to find. It's impossible to get that in my country.

Wow, that was a good deal. The ticket to the cinema here is over 8 dollars and you had a dinner and a show for 8 dollars. You were lucky to find such a good deal, congratulations!

Yes, I agree Money doesn't grow on trees. And being a smart shopper makes it go a long way. And today's day and age the price of everything is going up. And wages are going down, so you have to be a smart shopper. (And buy going down I mean the same amount of money buys less and people are not getting raises to keep up with inflation)

When it comes to buying tangible products especially necessities such as food and clothing, I try to find the best deal wherein I could save a lot. I always consider buying during sales in malls here because discounts go as high as 50% during sales. When it comes to buying virtual goods such as cosmetic items and games online though, I can spend more than a hundred dollar in one month.

I use money wisely definitively, and that deal you guys got was the heck of a deal. Just the movie ticket is about $8, and adding a dinner to it is great. Eventually and based on my income I give a nice treat to myself, you know, if you work so hard you deserve to pamper yourself occasionally right? Anyway yes, I'm always looking for sales and specials, but I've found the best ones on clothes and shoes, I even found a pair of super comfy sneakers for only $1,99, and I swear they are not ugly or bad quality, I just got lucky searching around.

I always try to be super thrifty when spending money by using coupons, getting cashback, waiting for a better sale price, etc. $8 for a night out for two is super nice! I always love the discount days at theaters. My friends and I often pack a lunch to have a picnic at a local park then go see a movie at a theater that does the super discount day.

My must haves for shopping online are camelcamelcamel and ebates. Always check Camelcamelcamel to make sure you're actually getting a good deal on Amazon and use ebates to get cashback on your purchases.

Yep! Exactly my thoughts about today's world... you should see our countries prices versus our wages, it's absolutely ridiculous. For some reason, the wages keep going down and the prices for basic food and supplies are steadily raising. That's why I feel no shame in using different deals and offers. It seems the most logical and rational choice. I just wish we had more coupons to use - we lack those compared to countries like U.S.

I also fall into variable income due to my day job and freelancing projects. But my monthly food and the rent are pretty much fixed. I try to save money by shopping online. I try to avoid offline stores which are expensive. Also I have started using discount apps like grabon and groupon. So this way I have saved around 20$ for food and clothing and other monthly needs. I think in some months expenses are not easy to manage.

Nowadays, my family only spend on clothes if there's a seasonal sale. I guess we can call ourselves deal hunters. When we go for grocery shopping, we are pretty much aware of the pricing of the products. In this way, we are able to track price changes. Offers like 'Buy 1, Free 1' cannot be missed as well. However, it's important to always check the expiry dates of these good deals when it comes to products with short shelf life.

I am just like you guys. I value my hard earned money and as I grow old, I learn where to buy the economical things. When I say economical, the cheap ones but good ones. For apparels, I always just buy on the things that are on sale. I don't follow the latest trends but always go with the classic styles so that I always stay in the middle. When it comes to food, I compare things and calculate where I can save more. For example some canned goods may seemed cheaper than the other but in reality the cheaper one weighs lighter than the other and so forth. You should be a keen buyer so that you can get the best value for your money.

Being a smart shopper is the right thing to do nowadays, I always try to find good deals in whatever I'm interested. Money is getting harder and harder to get so we better save as much as we can before we find ourselves homeless without even realizing. :D
Even when it comes to games, I'll never buy them at release or at full price, even if they're really good games because waiting for a deal is the smart thing to do.

Unfortunately, amitkokiladitya every day of my life, I have to be a miser because my income is very limited. My spending is very thought out and thought out in advance before I get paid so I know where everything is going and if I am going to have any money left over at the end of the month for wants.
